what do you think?

(this post has nothing to do with LOST--see the previous post for that and why it is on the mind).
It does have to do with Koreans.
Yesterday I got a call from a lady who is placing foriegn exchange students into homes and asked Jenny and I if we would accept one from Korea. I think Jenny's aunt gave her our names and told her we were both return missioanries from Korea and live in the Timpview borders (They want the students to go to Timpview...what's wrong with Provo? :). Anyways...at first I immediately thought- oh there is no way. But I started asking questions and thinking about it a little and now it is on the mind. It is not likely...but I have not dismissed it completely.
It could be fun. It could be annoying. It could be a cool way to share the gospel. They could hate us. They could be bored. They could love it. It could be awkward. Anyways...what do you guys think?

I agree with all of your thoughts. It could be annoying, it could be great. I think the more you think about it, you will realize how you really feel about it. Good Luck! p.s. I think Hodson's had an exchange student at one time??

First of all, of course they want to go to Timpview! I think it totally depends on the student. They could be a huge burden or a really good - temporary - addition. You are both social enough to not be too put out by the situation (though everyone needs their privacy) so I think it just depends. My parents had a kid from Brazil and loved him. Ajay's parents had a French girl who was really finicky about her food and church and didn't enjoy her.

Wow- that might be a fun opportunity! Yeah, I can see how it would be awkward sometimes but I also think it would be a great experience for you and the kids (maybe not with a new baby around though...)I don't know what I would do right now, but I think it might be fun to try someday.

I also agree with your thoughts. It sounds neat and cool but at the same time it could be more work than you want right now. Like Emma said, with the new baby. Good luck with that decision. Let me know if I'll be needing to set another place at the dinner table. :)

I guess it didn't show up-- I think your right about the thoughts you don't know how it will be and what they would think of it, but i think that is the fun thing about it. i think it would be something diffent and something fun that you will always have fun memories with.

I've always wanted to have an Exchange Student but never looked into it. We had a neighbor who had a couple of students, until the girl ran away with some guy. I think it could be a great experience but I would probably wait until my children were a little older.

i think it would be totally awesome. there are so many opportunities you could open up and blessing you could have by allowing someone else share in your sweet home. (we have a philippino kid living with us right now, so i would just say if you do it, lay down the rules and stick to them!)

So yeah, my mom gave that lady my number and I gave them your number. :) She asked directly for it, I had no choice! But that could be fun, or annoying! What are you going to do!
